Supervised Fieldwork

Description

Students will carry out directed field experiences in public health agencies or programs. Placements are related to student's academic background, specialization and career expectations. Emphasis is on applying classroom acquired concepts and skills.The content and scope of the fieldwork should be similar to work performed by an entry level public health professional. Didactic sessions (classroom or online) are included in the course to augment student competencies in project planning, IRB application, advanced library research, management and leadership, teamwork, ethical research, publishing and career searches.
