Description

This class introduces students to some of the crucial ideas, processes and events related to revolutions in 20th-century Latin America. As it is not possible to analyze every revolutionary situation or movement in 20th-century Latin America, we will concentrate on some of those with the widest impact, while touching on a number of others for geographic and conceptual balance. We will also discuss some key concepts on the nature of revolution, as well as some of the most important Latin American revolutionary ideologies.
