Prerequisite

Admissions Requirements

1.     A master’s degree from an accredited institution, and a minimum

3.0 GPA.

2.     A statement of purpose.

3.     A supplemental statement that addresses the following:

a. What is ABA? Why are you interested in pursuing graduate education and training in ABA? What are your long-term goals related to ABA?

4.     Curriculum Vita or Resume.

5.     Two professional references, one should be an academic reference.

6.     Applicants who are being considered for final round will be interviewed.

 

Progress Standards

1.     Minimum GPA for Retention - Graduate students must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 to remain at Hunter College. Students whose grades fall below this standard are required to raise their GPAs to at least 3.0 within one semester.

2.     No F in the first two semesters—students who receive a grade of F or WU in any course in the first two semesters will not be allowed to continue in the program.

3.     Progress holds due to Incomplete Grades - Students with two or more INCs will not be allowed to register for any courses.

4.     Key Course Performance Standards

a.   Students must receive a grade of at least a B in key program courses. 

b.   Students who receive a grade of F or WU in key program courses may not continue in the program. 

c. Key Program Courses are identified by the label (KC) in the course title.

Exit Requirements

1. An overall GPA of 3.0.

2. No course grade below B.

Completion requirement
  • No F in the first two semesters—students who receive a grade of F(WU) in any course in the first two semesters will not be allowed to continue in the program.

  • Progress holds due to Incomplete Grades - Students with two or more INCs will not be allowed to register for any courses.

  • Key Course Performance Standards

    • Students must receive a grade of at least a B in certain key program courses. (to be determined by programs, labeled in CUNYfirst, and noted in the catalog)

    • Students who receive a grade of F/WU in certain key program courses may not continue in the program (to be determined by programs, labeled in CUNYfirst, and noted in the catalog).

    • No course grade below B

Earn at least 27 credits
Earn a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Students whose grades fall below this standard are required to raise their GPAs to at least 3.0 within one semester.
