Covers the latest information about the geologic ages of rock formations in New York State, plate tectonics, bedrock geology, including metamorphic, igneous, and sedimentary rocks, fossils, and ancient environments. The course consists of lecture, laboratory exercises, and field trips to the Catskill Mountains, Hudson Highlands, the Manhattan Prong, and Montauk Point.
