Topics include rock microscopy; field observations of rocks and the relation to the principles of geology; interpretation of geologic maps; lithospheric rock cycle in the context of plate tectonics and earth evolution; and the geology of New York City and its relationship to urban issues. Recommended for earth science students and others interested in the study and uses of rock. There will be an additional charge for local transportation.
