Description

History of tactile reading systems used by individuals who are blind. Students must demonstrate proficiency in reading and writing Grade 2 literary Braille and using the Braillewriter and slate and stylus. Other skills include modifying print materials for use by Braille readers. Current research and issues related to Braille literacy are reviewed.This Key Course requires a grade of B or better to pass. Any student who receives a grade of F or WU in this class will not be permitted to continue in the program. This course may be repeated only once.
