Description

This course will offer a comprehensive introduction to the career readiness and college access counseling role of the school counselor working within the K-12 school setting. By utilizing a multicultural and social justice framework the course will explore career readiness and college access from a holistic and lifespan developmental perspective. In view of the CACREP standards this course will explore and appropriately address the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) national domains in academic, career and the personal needs of K-12 students from Kindergarten through high school as it relates to their career exploration and college access.
