Assessment in Schools

The goal of this graduate course is to introduce students to the field of educational assessment taken broadly, with a focus on how academic assessments are used in prek-16 education within the US and internationally in the 21st century. Students will become familiar with theory, research, and practice in the areas of classroom assessment, assessment of teacher quality, and assessment of large educational systems.
