Bilingual Pupil Personnel Services

The Bilingual Education Extension: Pupil Personnel Services program is designed to equip individuals holding New York State provisional or permanent certification in a pupil personnel services field with the specialized knowledge and skills necessary to effectively support bilingual students in educational settings.

Students in this program will learn to integrate culturally and linguistically responsive approaches into their professional practice, effectively advocate for the needs of bilingual students, and contribute to the advancement of equitable and inclusive educational practices within New York State schools.

Upon completion of the program, participants will be recommended to New York State for the bilingual extension to their provisional or permanent certification in a pupil personnel services field.
