In partnership with a variety of local and national organizations, the School of Education offers an Alternative Certification Students with Disabilities Middle Childhood Generalist Grades 5-9/Middle Childhood General Grades 5-9 program to prepare candidates to teach students of diverse backgrounds, abilities and interests. This program was specifically designed for candidates seeking an alternative route to certification in Students with Disabilities Middle Childhood Generalist Grades 5-9/Middle Childhood General Grades 5-9. Our programs offer participants the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in schools while enrolled in graduate coursework at Hunter College.
